How to Choose a Bridal Bouquet: Gown, Season and Budget Guide

A decision guide to bridal bouquet shapes, flower types, season choice and price ranges.

The bridal bouquet sits at the centre of wedding photographs and reflects the bride's personality as much as her gown. Four questions are enough to decide: what is the gown like, what is the venue like, what is the season and how much is the budget?

Bouquet shape by gown

  • Plain, straight-cut gown: a contemporary cascade or long free-flowing bouquet strengthens the look.
  • Full princess gown: a compact round bouquet keeps proportion.
  • Bohemian, lace gown: a natural hand-tied bunch with wildflowers and greenery fits.
  • Short gown or simple ceremony dress: a small single-colour posy is an elegant choice.

Flowers by season

In spring peony, ranunculus and tulip; in summer hydrangea, rose and wildflowers; in autumn dahlia, chrysanthemum and dried grasses; in winter amaryllis, orchid and white rose stand out. Out-of-season flowers are possible but raise the price by 30–60% and increase freshness risk.

Budget ranges (2026)

  • Simple round or hand-tied bouquet: 1,800 – 2,800 TRY
  • Contemporary cascade or peony bouquet: 3,250 – 5,500 TRY
  • Bouquet + boutonniere + bridesmaids' bouquets: 5,500 – 9,000 TRY
  • Ceremony table, altar and venue flowers: from 4,800 TRY, by area

Timeline

We recommend reserving your date at least three months ahead and finalising the bouquet shape after the gown fitting. A sample bouquet is prepared a week before the wedding, and on the morning it is remade with fresh flowers. After the ceremony you can preserve the bouquet with our drying and framing service.

Common mistakes

  • Choosing too big a bouquet: a heavy bouquet tires the bride and overshadows the gown. A width of 25–30 cm is generally enough.
  • Insisting on out-of-season flowers: both price and freshness risk rise. Discuss alternatives with the designer.
  • Leaving the flowers to the last week: because of supply lead times, seasonal flowers such as peonies may be unavailable if you are late.
  • Ignoring venue temperature: outdoors in summer a bouquet needs a water reservoir and shade to stay fresh through the day.

The first meeting with our designer for the bridal bouquet is free and lasts about 40 minutes. Your gown photo, venue images and colour preferences are enough; you can see the sample bouquet in the shop a week before.

In summary

Choosing a bridal bouquet comes down to four decisions: a form that suits the gown, flowers available in season, a manageable size and budget. Send us your gown photo and venue images; see the sample bouquet in the shop and make your final decision.
